| Exploring the facade of a god fearing, wholesome, American family, Buried Child exposes the disintegration of the American Dream. A young man, with his new girlfriend in tow, arrives unannounced at the Illinois farmhouse of his grandparents, after a six-year separation from his family. But his family proves to be a bizarre group who barely know who he is. In trying to make sense of the situation, the girlfriend uncovers the deeply buried family secrets that have destroyed these people's lives. |
